Butterfly Cannon Reposado is a premium tequila made from 100% blue agave from Mexico’s Jalisco region. It is exceptionally soft, smooth and gently sweet, having rested for at least eight months in American oak barrels. It is bottled in a substantial ceramic bottle with a striking embossed pattern and a heavy butterfly-shaped metal stopper.

The making of Butterfly Cannon tequila is a true art of transformation. The story begins in the fields of Jalisco, where, after seven to eight years of growth, only the finest blue agave with the highest sugar content is selected by hand. The agave is trimmed close to the heart, removing the waxy notes. The result is a cleaner fermentation and an exceptionally smooth, pure flavour.
The agave is then slowly roasted for three days in a combination of traditional stone ovens and modern autoclaves. This is followed by a long fermentation (48 to 60 hours) and double distillation in copper stills, and then at least eight months of rest in American oak barrels.

The long and carefully guided process is reflected in every drop. In the glass it captivates with a bright amber colour and golden reflections. The nose offers delicate oak and citrus undertones with a clearly expressed natural agave note. On the palate a rich, rounded flavour unfolds: the sweetness of roasted agave interweaves with warm vanilla, caramel and nuts, with a touch of fragrant cloves, ground cinnamon and fine oak. The taste is smooth, full-bodied and velvety.
